
For the Christian Social People's Party (CSV), Max Hengel takes over the seat of former MP Françoise Hetto, who resigned.
Hengel previously served as the mayor of Wormeldange and is currently still a member of the municipal executive. He already has 16 years of experience working for the CSV's parliamentary group.
Carlo Weber from the Luxembourg Socialist Workers' Party (LSAP) inherits the seat left vacant by Claude Haagen after the latter joined the government. The former MP and mayor of Diekirch is now Minister of Agriculture and Social Security. Weber worked at the Bridges and Roads Authority for 27 years.
Finally, the former minister and deputy prime minister, Dan Kersch (LSAP), was also sworn in on Tuesday afternoon. He gave up all government functions, stating that he wished to return to a seat as a Member of Parliament.
