The warning applies to the villages of Boudler, Boudlerbach, Brouch, Biwerbach, Biwer, Wecker, and Hagelsdorf.

Samples taken in Wecker revealed a bacterial contamination of the water.

In order to prevent any potential health problems, residents of the affected villages are asked not to drink tap water until further notice, or to at least boil it for ten minutes before consuming it.

The authorities also advice residents to refrain from cleaning food products with tap water for the time being.
