After several disruptions in the construction process, as well as a significant overrun of the budget, the Stade de Luxembourg is finally edging closer to its completion. Thus far, the project is estimated to have cost €77 million.
On Friday, a selection of guests were finally allowed inside the new stadium for the first time. Next week, the Luxembourgish football team is scheduled to play a test game on the new pitch, before playing against Azerbaijan at the beginning of September.
The official inauguration of the stadium will take place on 25 September.
