The latest figures from the Ministry of Health show that 353 new cases of coronavirus were discovered yesterday.
Two more deaths from Covid-19 were reported today, meaning the total death toll in the Grand Duchy has risen to 728.
11,861 tests were carried out in the last 24 hours. The positivity rate was 2.98%.
It's the highest daily recorded positive case number since 22 December 2020, when the Ministry reported 403 cases. Since then, the previous highest figure was 321, reported on 23 February 2021.
There are 104 patients in standard hospital care, down five from yesterday, while the number in intensive care dropped by four to 17.
As of today's update, there were 3,337 active infections in Luxembourg, while 55,842 patients have recovered from the virus.
59,310 people had received their first vaccine dose in Luxembourg. 18,687 of those had received a second dose.
The R rate stands at at 1.06.
