On Saturday evening, Minister Cahen conveyed that the country’s senior and care homes are not yet free of Covid-19 clusters. There are currently 19 cases in Bofferdange, 13 in Niederkorn, and 12 in Rodange.
The health conditions of all the concerned patients vary significantly, Minister Cahen further explained. There are some who do not display any symptoms, while others have developed significant difficulties breathing and need to be treated at hospitals.
Several individuals have by now died following a positive infection with Covid-19. In Bofferdange, there were two deaths reported on Friday, one in Niederkorn, and five more in Rodange.
Minister Cahen underlined that it was a desperate situation for a home to lose that many of its residents in a short period of time.
