MP Michel Wolter put forward a motion in the Chamber of Deputies to demand clarification on the events that lead to the infection cluster in the retirement home. It was reported earlier this month that 63 residents were infected with Covid-19, out of which five died soon after.

Servior confirmed that between 5 and 11 March, nine residents who contracted the virus died. Five further people died the following week. This means that a total of 19 residents have by now lost their lives following the detection of the cluster.

Servior also announced that the entire building was last subjected to a Covid test on Monday. Currently, one person is still positive. On Thursday, the majority of residents received their second vaccine dose as scheduled. A dozen people still have to be patient until 31 March due to medical conditions.

Nevertheless, Wolter shows himself concerned with the lack of insight into the situation. CSV therefore demands that the Ministry of Health conduct a thorough investigation of the case.
