In September 2011, during searches of Becca’s offices, criminal police found hundreds of luxury watches, still in their original packaging. The businessman is being prosecuted for abuse of company assets.

The corruption aspect of the case, relating to the Wickrange-Livange project, was dropped as investigators were unable to gather sufficient evidence. The suspicion of corruption arose from the alleged support of several politicians for Becca’s project to build a football stadium with an integrated shopping centre in Livange.

The trial is expected to last six days.
