The virus concentration in sewage does however remain on a downward trajectory, according to a new publication by LIST (Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology).

LIST analyses the sewage of 13 water purification plants, twice or thrice a week as of late, in order to gain a precise overview.

The lowest levels of the virus were detected in the east of Luxembourg, in Echternach and in Grevenmacher. Results from plants in Bleesbruck and Übersyren yielded lower concentrations, too. The highest figure was found in Petange last week. However, results confirm the current trend of lower levels of coronavirus in the general population.

The number of current fatalities and patients in intensive care are approximating those of three weeks ago.
