

























































The safety material which would be used in the event of riots will be tested on Place de l'Europe between 30 November and 5 December.
Different types of barriers and barricades have been erected for this reason. A similar drill already took place at the same location in 2015. Due to set-up and dismantling works, access to Place de l'Europe will be restricted. The underground car park, on the other hand, will remain accessible. According to the police bulletin, major effects on public traffic are not expected.
The responsible company stated that this drill is performed every five years, and not only in Luxembourg City, but also in Brussels and Strasbourg, i.e. the three cities where large European summits are usually held. The company has two days to set-up the barricades and two days to dismantle them.
