Nevertheless, the overall level of coronavirus traces in the plants remained elevated over the All-Saints-holidays.

The Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) published its latest report on Monday evening, which confirms earlier reports that Covid-19 residue is slowly declining in the country's water purification plants:

Henry-Michel Cauchie, head of the CORONASTEP research group, commented on this recent trend: "Checking these purification plants provides us with the most efficient overview of the overall virus prevalence in the Grand Duchy. However, it gives us no indication of which population groups are most affected by it."

The report indicates that the Covid-19 prevalence in Beggen, Schifflange, Pétange, Mersch, Bleesbrück, and Troisvierges has been declining.

However, in Bettembourg and Wiltz, evidence shows a renewed rise. Hesperange, Bavigne, Echternach, Grevenmacher, and Uebersyren had less clearer trends when it comes to virus prevalence.
