The latest increase is the highest daily toll of infections since 60 cases were recorded on 21 April.
Separately, the government has announced that the daily detailed COVID-19 updates, which have been published every day since the beginning of the crisis, will no longer be released on weekends and national holidays. Instead, only the number of cases, tests and deaths will be recorded.
On Friday, there was one patient in intensive care, with 13 in standard hospital care.
Luxembourg has so far recorded a total of 952 hospital recoveries. As of Friday, there were 85 active infections in the Grand Duchy.
172,292 tests have been carried out since the start of the outbreak, a rise of 3,505 since yesterday.
The reproduction rate (Rt) on Friday remained at 0.993, while the effective reproduction rate (Rt_eff) was at 0.940.
