The reduction of speed limits on the A1 and A6 had started as a pilot project in June last year. The Roads and Bridges Authority now announced in their press release that the reduced speed limit would be maintained until further notice.
They explained that the 90km/h speed limit had a positive impact on traffic flow. The risk of accidents decreased alongside hazardous braking manoeuvres.
