In addition to a conference on structural violence, Sanyal held a consensus workshop with the aim of helping with preventing sexual violence.
Participants were able to gain a better understanding of what they want and how to communicate this with others. Sanyal highlights the importance of knowing one’s own desires and limits, which also helps understand what others want or don’t want.
However, due to the fact conversations around sexual violence largely depict women as victims and men as perpetrators, the majority of participants at such workshops are women.
