The vintage car designated to ferry the Belgian king and queen around Luxembourg experienced some difficulties during Tuesday’s visit.
After the royal couple had been greeted by the Grand Duke, a number of Luxembourgish politicians and city residents, their vehicle decided to go on strike.
Both King Philippe and his wife Mathilde took the situation in good humour by all accounts, as did Prime Minister Xavier Bettel, who observed the goings on with some amusement despite the rain.
