The municipality called on residents to limit their tap water usage and prohibited filling up swimming pools, watering large areas such as sports grounds, cleaning cars, cleaning outside garage areas, and defrosting frozen foods under the tap.
Restrictions for watering sports grounds also apply to the golf course in Christnach. Not respecting any of the above could result in a fine ranging between €25 and €250.
Now that the water levels are no longer near their limits, the restrictions have been lifted.
