Every Thursday, the Ministry of Education publishes the weekly report of Covid-19 cases found in the country's schools.
In the week from 15 to 21 March, a total of 397 coronavirus cases were detected among pupils and teachers in Luxembourg.
A primary school class at the Mondorf-les-Bains International School was affected by a Covid-19 outbreak. According to the Ministry, a student was tested positive on 10 March and the class was isolated from the rest of the school. Tests carried out on 15 March revealed five other cases of coronavirus. The class was then put into quarantine until 22 March.
The Ministry also identified 300 isolated cases of the virus in 80 primary schools, 39 secondary schools, and two competence centres.
In addition, there were 53 cases of scenario 2 (maximum of two positive cases in a class with an uncertain or likely source of infection outside the class) and 38 cases linked to scenario 3 (three to five positive cases in a class).
