
Luxembourg’s roads were busy on Monday evening and overnight due to snowfall in some areas.
The first accident occurred at 5.30pm in Schifflange, leaving one person injured.
A truck spun off the road and overturned in Fentange around 11.20pm. Local rescue teams and an emergency medical team (SAMU) from Luxembourg City attended to the two injured individuals.
An emergency medical team was dispatched again after a car overturned on the national road between Ellange-Gare and Remich around 2am, leaving two people injured.
In addition, a filtration system had caught fire in Bettembourg in the Wolser industrial zone shortly after 2am. Fire brigades from the region, as well as a specialised CGDIS unit for chemical production, were dispatched.
Another fire was caused by a pellet furnace in Asselborn shortly before 7pm.
