In spite of economic repercussions stemming from the pandemic, the national unemployment rate has been relatively stable at 6.3% over the past six months. According to Adem's most recent report, 19,500 people are currently looking for a job.

Compared to last year, this means that there are currently 3,000 more unemployed people in Luxembourg. Additionally, there are close to 4,200 people who receive benefits as they do not earn a full salary.
2,100 residents have filed a first-time application at the unemployment agency in February, which is 3.5% less than the year before. At the same time, Adem also enlists occupations and had 7,400 job offers in February, 800 more than in January.
