Following continuous investigations into the tragic death of a 2-year-old at a Christmas Market in Luxembourg City in 2019, the investigating magistrate has now concluded the inquiry. The city’s public prosecutor shared further details on the case through a press release this Friday afternoon.

Of the 11 individuals found responsible for the boy’s death, the public prosecutor’s office indicted 10 people for involuntary manslaughter. The organiser of Winterlights 2019 was among those indicted.

The District Court of Luxembourg (Chambre du Conseil) must now decide whether the case will be argued in a public hearing.
