“In the end, what matters is the number of orders. From what I have heard, car dealers are very pleased. There’s been almost a 10% increase in sales from the previous year.”
“If I were to compare our numbers with those of other countries, where most cars are sold in the spring, Luxembourg comes out on top,” states Rainer Mayer, director of a car garage in Mersch. “The impact of the Autofestival, supported by good weather conditions over the past weeks in Luxembourg, boosted our sales. During the first two months of the year, we sell between 30% and 35% of our stock.”
Regarding electric vehicles, sales continue to increase. Ranges of different manufacturers have experienced extremely rapid growth over the last 12 months. Giovanni Ladener, electric car dealer at Cloche d’Or is confident:
“We believe that there has been significant progress when it comes to high-end cars on the European market.”
Leasing continues to be a popular option in Luxembourg. As Philippe Mersch explains: “It’s a solution that interests more and more people, as all expenses are included in a monthly fee. It also alleviates car owners’ worries of their car becoming technologically obsolete.”
For clients who did not want to take advantage of the Autofestival at the beginning of the year, they will be able to find great deals at the beginning of June at the Auto Occasiouns Festival.
