Following the announcement of a Universal park north of London, Germany has now revealed that it will host an entire area dedicated to Harry Potter and, most notably, the world’s very first fully themed Harry Potter hotel. Located within Legoland Deutschland Resort in Günzburg, the project promises full immersion in the Wizarding world, all accessible by train or car from our region in less than five hours.
Until now, anyone wanting to sleep in a Hogwarts-inspired room or wander through settings reminiscent of Hogsmeade had to cross the Atlantic and head to the United States or Asia. Soon, Europeans will have the experience on their doorstep. The hotel will offer rooms decorated in the colours of the four Hogwarts houses, beds styled after Ron Weasley’s, and an atmosphere steeped in magic down to the smallest detail.
Never before has an entire hotel been devoted exclusively to Harry Potter. According to Peter van Roden, Senior Vice President of Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences, the aim is to let fans experience the Wizarding world like never before by blending the LEGO universe with the famous magical world. The partnership between these two iconic brands promises a playful, immersive, and truly unique stay.
Although no opening date has yet been announced, the news has already sparked a wave of excitement. More details about the plans for LEGOLAND Deutschland Resort are expected to be unveiled in the next 12 months.
Between the new LEGO Harry Potter land and this unprecedented hotel, the German park is positioning itself as a future hotspot for Europe’s Potterheads.
For fans in Belgium, France, and Luxembourg, the advantage is clear: no need for expensive flights, as a simple train journey will be enough to reach this new magical destination. It’s a real game-changer for anyone dreaming of spending a weekend in the world of Hogwarts without leaving the continent.
