RTL-You's very own Edouard Paquet decided to join efforts with his friends Sam and Isaac from the UWE Bristol to face what might very well be the challenge of their lives: the intercontinental Mongol Rally.
The Mongol Rally is an intercontinental car rally of superlatives that sees 350 teams race from Prague to Ulan-Ude in Russia. The rally takes participants through mountain regions, deserts, and steppes. Sometimes the roads are paved, sometimes they're... a little less comfortable to navigate.
RTL-You's very own Edouard Paquet decided to join efforts with his friends Sam and Isaac from UWE Bristol to tackle the tricky challenge. The three students bought a 15-year-old Fiat Panda for around €700 to get team Bristangolia started. As you might expect given the enormous distance of the rally, things don’t always run all that smoothly - a reality that the young contestants experience first-hand in the seventh episode of the “Bristangolia’s Mongol Rally” series.
After managing the first few kilometres of Pamir Highway in episode 7, they still face challenges which they have to compete against. So to say the once one overcomes one challenge, the next one is already waiting behind the corner. Thus, Edouard and his friends, Sam and Isaac, are confronted with new problems in the 8th episode. In this Episod the team, together with another team of the rally, have to overcome the last kilometres of the Pamir highway with the ultimate goal of arriving in China. Even though both teams had to stop every 20-30 minutes because of minor problems with the car, they still managed to climb the 4655 meters above sea level and ultimately also arrived in China.
Take a look at the latest episode and be part of the new challenges the Bristangolia team faced and witness some of the unique and amazing landscapes they crossed during their road trip.
