RTL-You's very own Edouard Paquet decided to join efforts with his friends Sam and Isaac from the UWE Bristol to face what might very well be the challenge of their lives: the intercontinental Mongol Rally.

The Mongol Rally is an intercontinental car rally of superlatives that sees 350 teams race from Prague to Ulan Ude in Russia. The rally takes participants through mountain regions, deserts, steppes. Sometimes the roads are tarred tracks, sometimes they're... a little less comfortable to navigate.

RTL-You's very own Edouard Paquet decided to join efforts with his friends Sam and Isaac from the UWE Bristol to tackle the tricky challenge. The three students bought a 15-year-old Fiat Panda for around €700 to get team Bristangolia started. As you might expect given the enormous distance of the rally, things are not always running all that smoothly - a reality that the young contestants experienced first-hand during the fourth episode of the “Bristangolia’s Mongol Rally” series.

The teams have two possibilities to get from Azerbaijan to Turkmenistan: they either go south and pass Iran, or take a ferry to cross the Caspian Sea. Due to the political instabilities in Iran (and Sam and Isaac's British passports), the Bristangolia team decided to go for the slightly safer option and take the ferry. But make no mistake - the ferry is not exactly a luxury cruise.

The three men had to wait for three days in the harbour before they could get on the ferry. To make things worse, the boat took a total of three days instead of the planned 13 hours. Did they make it safely to Turkmenistan, a country that only 6,000 people can enter each year? Find out on RTL You!

Team Bristangolia filmed themselves during their adventures and publish a new episode each Monday at 6 pm. Check out the new fourth episode on RTL You!
