The new edition of the famous food guide awarded Slovenian capital Ljubljana with its first honours.

A total of 1,850 restaurants in 39 different cities are included in this year's Michelin Guide.

For the first time in history, Krakow has been included, "Bottiglieria 1881" winning a star for its creative and modern plates under the leadership of chef Przemyslaw Klima.

Ljubljana also celebrated its first guide entry with restaurant "Atelje". In Austria, two new restaurants received their first star, "Apron" in Vienna and "The Glass Garden" in Salzburg.

There was also reason to celebrate in Luxembourg. Four restaurants were awarded one star: "Clairefontaine", "La Cristallerie", "Les Jardins d'Anaïs", and "Mosconi".
