St. George's International School boasts a diverse student body with over 60 nationalities.

On Tuesday morning, Sam and Meredith welcomed the principal of St George’s International School Dr. Christian Barkei to the Today Radio studio.

While many schools host open days, Dr. Barkei explained that they do things a bit differently at St. George’s, opting for individual visits so perspective students (and parents) can see the school in action and get a feeling for the campus and community. Whilst touring the school, visitors can appreciate the artwork hung in the hallways and classrooms, showcasing the creativity and inspiration of the student body.

The school takes an individual approach to each student, working to adjust and cater to each student’s individual needs from primary education through to university. In fact, Dr. Barkei explained that the school has an active alumni community which helps students even after they leave the school.

St. George’s operates in English, but has an extremely diverse student body with many multi-lingual students covering over 60 nationalities.

If you’re interested in visiting the school, Dr, Berkei suggests simply giving them a call. “We have a very active admissions department and they’ll say fill out an enquiry form so we know a little bit about the family and then please come and visit us.”

You can of course learn more about the school, their curriculum and fees on the St. George’s International School website.

If you want to hear the percentage of students who began at St. George’s without speaking English, make sure to listen to the complete interview here on RTL Play or via the player below.
