As it turns out, the 74-year-old woman tried to bring the skeletal remains of her husband along on her trip to Armenia so that he could be burried in his homeland.
The woman, who was accompanied by her 52-year-old daughter, had begun her journey in Greece, and was supposed to fly via Munich and Kiev to Armenia. According to documents, her husband died in 2008 and was buried in Thessaloniki.
The prosecutor’s office did not have any legal objections for the journey, so both women were allowed to continue flying with the remains.
