Having trouble spotting the sneaky serpent? You’re not alone! Internet users and experts alike had trouble spotting the venomous animal. Are you also left scratching your head? Scroll down for answers.

The spine-chilling picture was taken after a Queensland woman called Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers. Before the experts arrived, she thought it was a harmless snake. As it turned out, it was an Eastern Brown Snake - a species that causes more deaths than any other snake species in Australia. The are widespread throughout the land down under.

According to Australian Geographic, Eastern Brown Snakes are “fast-moving, aggressive and known for their bad temper.” Their venom is “ranked as the second most toxic of any land snake in the world (based on tests on mice)” and “they thrive in populated areas, particularly on farms in rural areas with mice.”

The snake catchers safely relocated the deadly reptile and posted the picture on their Facebook page, adding the caption: “Wowzers!! You would definitely not be expecting this when you open the top drawer in your bathroom.

“This cheeky little brown snake had found himself a nice little hiding spot. What a surprise! It just goes to show that snakes can basically hide anywhere.”
