According to estimations, the net worth of the mobile game industry alone amounts to around $65 billion, which would be more than the entire film and music industry combined.
Experts also predict that the growth will not come to a halt in the near future. Expectations envision a revenue of over 200 billion dollars from video game sales in 2023. The predictions are linked to the installation of the 5G grid, from which especially mobile gamers will benefit, as well as the next generation consoles coming out in December.
Another significant factor in the equation is the corona pandemic. While major parts of both the film and music industry are subject to safety restrictions, the gaming sector was mostly able to continue operations, although some releases eventually had to be postponed.
