Josh Lanik was on vacation with his family when he found a brandy-colored gem at Crater of Diamonds State Park in Arkansas.

The 36-year-old teacher from Hebron, Nebraska put the treasure in a bag with the other finds his family had made that day.

Lanik and his family spent two hours looking through the park’s 37.5-acre diamond search area on July 24. CNN reports that before leaving the park, they stopped by the Diamond Discovery Center to see what treasures they had found.

Unbeknownst to Lanik, he was carrying around the largest diamond found in the park so far this year. It weighed in at 2.12-carat. Lanik told reporters that he has no plans to sell and will be holding on to the gem for a while.
