The latest episode of PISA takes on a rubbish journey. Not a bad journey, to be clear, it’s actually rather interesting: it’s the literal journey that rubbish takes once it leaves our hands here in Luxembourg.
For this instalment, Olivier Catani started by heading to Friedhof in Diekirch, where household waste from northern Luxembourg is collected. All in all, the site takes in the rubbish from 46 municipalities, and that alone means they handle what’s put into 50,000 grey wheelie bins.
Some of that - and other - waste will head to SIDOR in Leudelange, which we also get to visit in the episode. This site takes in waste from between 100 and 120 lorries every single day.
But don’t let me spoil the episode for you - go ahead an watch it above. You can find all of our English episode of PISA right here, and if you want to practice your Luxembourgish you can find the full original catalogue here.
