Since 2015, the actress, who just turned 53, had been battling cancer.
Shannen Doherty, known for her roles in “Charmed” and “Beverly Hills, 90210,” passed away on 13 July due to complications from her illness, according to various US media reports. Diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015, she went into remission two years later. However, in February 2020, she announced that she had stage 4 cancer. By September of the same year, she revealed that her cancer had become incurable and in June 2023, Doherty disclosed that the disease had spread to her brain and later to her bones.
On 13 July, 2024, Shannen Doherty sadly lost her battle with cancer.
Beyond her acting career, Doherty was active in social causes, particularly animal protection projects. She was notably involved with Sea Shepherd, an NGO dedicated to preserving the world’s oceans and marine wildlife.
