Unable to figure out where a cold and constant draft was coming from in her bathroom, the New Yorker made a shocking discovery.

Signs of life
After initially thinking that the draft was coming from an air vent, or even a loose electrical switch, Samantha eventually pinned down the source as coming from the bathroom mirror. Taking the mirror off the wall, it is clear there is more than your ordinary ‘crawl space‘.
A small room is on the other side, and a door suggests that is not your average trip to Narnia.
Several room and a staircase
In a scene that will have had many hardy horror fans screaming at their devices, Samantha slips into the hole armed with her camera and a flashlight.
On the other side, she discovers an entire apartment: stairs, several rooms, water inlets, and signs of someone having lived there, although there is no entrance way in the communal halls.
Once back in her bathroom, she concludes that she is going to need a little chat with the landlord.
