First song ever played!RISE by Towers winner of the national RTL Today Radio call out

RTL Today
RTL Today Radio on Tuesday announced the winner of their nationwide competition calling on Luxembourg's excellent music scene to provide them with the very first song played on launch day. Breakfast show hosts Sam Steen and Meredith Moss revealed the track at 6am on Tuesday 1 March in what will go down as a little slice of radio history.

With over 40 entries, the field was wide open and the running order changed day by day. The whole RTL Today Radio crew put their heads together (as well as is possible under current rulings).

We also consulted the good folks at Kulturfabrik, Rockhal, Rotondes, den Atelier and op der schmelz in order to find our winning track.

A flurry of late entries further shook things up.

What we do know, is that there is a whole heap of talent out there that we are ready to get behind.

Towers came out on top in what we can safely say was a very close run thing. Their track Rise having what we needed for the FIRST track: energy, drive and a hook for miles.
