With many last-minute registrations, the runners appeared in dresscode-pink and embarked on the solidarity race through the lush Parc de Hesperange. Many were accompanied by their children or their dogs.
More than 40 groups from all sectors took part in the race. Hôpitaux Robert Schuman, Zumba Frisange et Atert-Lycée Redange won the race’s trophy.
The event was an opportunity for organiser Europa Donna Lëtzebuerg and other associations to raise public awareness of the importance of physical activity in preventing breast cancer, and at the same time to raise funds to support those affected and their families.
