The Queen, staying in line with an old tradition instigated by her grandfather, keeps it simple and gives each member of staff the same present: a Tesco’s Finest Matured Christmas Pudding. Employees also receive a card from the Queen and Prince Philip.
In previous years, the Queen was known to go for the pricier Fortnam&Mason or Harrod’s puddings.
Long-standing members also get an extra gift - a voucher, reportedly capped at £35.
