Bonjour! Oui Oui! Baguette!
20 March is French language day, and what better way to celebrate this monumental holiday than by speaking French? Only, there’s a slight problem...most of our team don’t dabble in the world’s most romantic language.
We asked our colleagues (French word btw) at RTL 5 Minutes to join us in celebration of some of the French language’s most difficult and bizarre (another French word) terms. Thank goodness we had some actual francophones to tell us how to properly pronounce these words because our mouths clearly aren’t made for this.
We learned some new words, some new sounds and that, apparently, every person learning French has the same favourite word.
