A role not everyone is enthusiastic about: her impassioned speech quickly went viral on social media and did not fail to polarise. While most social media users and politicians applauded Thunberg for her restlessness and determination, others mocked her or were infuriated.

The satirical video, which has quickly gone viral itself, opens with a middle-aged man explaining that he gets “irrationally angry at a Swedish girl who wants to save the planet.”

“Luckily,” he explains, “there’s now a number I can call.”
