OuchFinnish skier suffers frozen penis at Winter Olympics

Finnish skier Remi Lindholm suffered from a frozen penis after participating in the men's 50 km cross-country race at the Winter Olympics on Saturday.

Due to extreme wind and cold, officials decided to delay the cross-country race by an hour and reduce the distance to 30 km. According to a report from The Guardian, Lindholm felt the temperatures in his most sensitive body parts, with his penis partially freezing over the course of the race.

Lindholm eventually crossed the finish line in 28th place and had to make use of a heat pack to warm up any frozen body parts. “When [my penis] started to warm up, the pain was unbearable”, explained Lindholm after the race. “This was one of the worst races ever for me”, he further commented.

The skier had already suffered a similar injury during a cross-country race in Ruka in his home country last year. The suits worn by racers are generally thin and do little to protect competitors in the case of extreme weather conditions.
