Whether you’re an actual child or just one at heart, we’re proud to introduce our new children’s programming on RTL: KannaTivi! This new TV line-up for kids features new shows, animated series, and a kid-friendly newscast. While the Luxembourgish version is an excellent opportunity for expat kids (and adults, really!) to practice their Luxembourgish, we’ll also have a few episodes of “Mol emol” (‘Ready, Steady... Draw!’ being the English title) in, you guessed it, English!
You’ll be able to watch that right here on RTL Today - and may have noticed that the first episode can be found right at the top of this very article. The full kids’ line-up will be broadcast every Sunday evening from 6pm to 7pm on Télé Lëtzebuerg and RTL Zwee, starting today, 20 September.
Aimed at pre-schoolers and families, Mol emol combines adventure, comedy, fantasy, and education - and kids were involved in the actual making of the show! We invited children aged 6-11 from local primary schools to a series of creative workshops, in which they drew original characters and told us about the adventures their characters got up to.
The creative whiz kids at the animation studio of Doghouse Films (well, they were adults.. so whiz adults?) then took the drawings and stories, and turned them into an episode of an actual animated show - bringing the characters and their stories to life!
The show was created by Barbara Bernini and Jacopo Armani, with art direction by Mauro Minazzato, for RTL.
We’ll have three episodes available in English to start, but who knows what the future may bring. If you like the show, keep on watching, and let us know what you think!

As we mentioned earlier, KannaTivi will air every Sunday from 6 until 7pm. Beyond Mol emol, the hours kicks off with “Fox & Fonzi” and “D’Lizzie,” followed at 6.30pm by the big “KannaTiVi-Show”. This slightly offbeat show is presented by Klaus and Mish, two aliens from the animated series “Nächst Statioun”. During their show, the two adventurers introduce the series “1,2,3… mol emol” and “Nächst Statioun”, the educational magazine “Weess de wat? " and the newscast " Kannaniuuss”.
