Melissa was joined on The Home Stretch by Base1 delegate Sarah Dell’Aera to talk about all the exciting activities offered by the National Youth Service (SNJ) and Base1. Base1, which is an initiative of the SNJ, offers various activities spanning the gamut of the field of creativity. While Base1 has a focus on traditional crafts like soldering, woodwork and building, they also explore newer technologies like illustration, coding and even 3D printing.

Sarah spoke to Melissa about the variety of activities offered by the organisation, including workshops for groups of varying ages, all 100% free of charge. In addition to workshops, with the help of the SNJ, Base1 organises yearly creative events like Makersfest, where visitors of all ages can come and explore their creativity through different methods.

If you want to learn more about what Base1 does, make sure to listen to the complete interview here on RTL Play or via the player below.
