A video published on the Facebook page ‘Very Brexit Problems’ and its Instagram page caused for much entertainment in August. The account, which dubs itself ‘Instagram’s favorite place to laugh at the epic idiocy of Brexit’, posted this video of Amazon’s Alexa translating ‘Boris Johnson carrots 100’ into Welsh. The outcome is hilarious and certainly speaks for itself.
The video has seen a resurgence following what has been some rather difficult weeks for the current prime minister. Parliament passed a law earlier this month aimed at preventing a no-deal Brexit, but Johnson is adamant Britain will still leave the EU on schedule on October 31 with or without a withdrawal agreement. For Brexiteers, this is an act of heroism, while Remainers view it as high treason.
Given how outspoken the opposition has been to Johnson’s decision to suspend Parliament at this rather inopportune time, it is likely many of them agree with Alexa’s assessment of Johnson.
