The lovely Charlotte de Vreeze-Nauta stopped by the studio to chat about this year's edition of the Bazar International Luxembourg.
Charlotte joined RTL Today Radio's Melissa Dalton on The Home Stretch Wednesday morning to discuss the Bazar International Luxembourg, the largest non-commercial and multicultural charitable organisation in Luxembourg.
Each year, the Bazar donates between €580.000 and €600.000 to charities. Charlotte discussed the inner workings of the event, including how the decisions for charities are made.
"The purpose of the Bazar International is to help people in need, all over the world. We do this by focusing on victims of poverty, violence and/or social isolation in general, and in some cases on specifically empowering women and girls."
She spoke about her work as a committee member, her prior experiences of having worked at the Dutch stand of the Bazar, and the many wonderful things the Bazar has been able to accomplish over the years.
Charlotte attributes her desire to give back to her parents, who have always been active and vocal about giving back. “As I have been lucky enough to have been born where I have, and to have had the opportunities that so many don’t, I feel it is only normal to do something for the people who have been less fortunate.”
The Bazar will be taking place sometime in November 2022 with the help of almost 1500 volunteers! You can learn more about this year's edition and how to get involved via the Bazar's website and Facebook page.
