This festival in Hollerich offers all sorts of exciting events all throughout the weekend. The theme of the event is “Open House: How to live together in a one planet world?”, a topic which will be covered through discussions, workshops, film screenings, concerts… in short, there is really something for everybody here. What: Street market in Strassen
Where: Centre Culturel Paul Barblé, 203 route d’Arlon, L-8011 Strassen
When: Friday, 11 June from 4 pm to 7 pm
Strassen’s bimonthly market focusses on fresh, alternative, ecological and sustainable products. Whether you are interested in picking up something specific or just want to go for a stroll and have a look around, the market is taking place in the car park of Centre Culturel Paul Barblé this Friday.

What: Herbarium – Collecting plants

Science Club offers adolescents from 11 to 18 years the opportunity to work like a real botanist. This activity is all about collecting and identifying plants in order to press them professionally later. If interested, the activity can be continued on 19 June in Luxembourg City’s Nature Museum.

What: Jazz Goes North: Jambal
Where: Ancien Cinéma Café-Club, 23 Grand Rue, L-9410 Vianden

Jambal is a young and ambitious band featuring four Luxembourgish jazz musicians between 18 and 20 years of age. They themselves describe their sound as “somewhere between UK Jazz and Ethno Jazz”. Treat yourself to the sounds of this highly motivated new band in Vianden this Saturday!
What: LandRusH - Free guided tour

Frauke Huber and Uwe H. Martin are artists and journalists. Since 2007, they have been documenting the social and environmental consequences of global agriculture by building close relationships with farmers, ranchers, and fishermen. Let the artists themselves guide you through their fascinating and ongoing investigation (guided tour in English and German).

Second-hand and vintage clothing has been gaining popularity in the Grand Duchy for some time now and it is easy to see why. Not only is it a great opportunity to find quality clothes at great prices, but it also helps reduce the negative impact of textile waste on the environment. This huge outdoor sale in Soleuvre takes place throughout Sunday and with summer 2021 promising increased freedom and less restrictions, this might just be the place to complete your summer wardrobe.

What: “Hamlet” by William Shakespeare

While Monday is clearly not part of the weekend, it would be a crime not to point out this amazing performance: “Hamlet”, arguably Shakespeare’s most famous play, brought to you by TNT Britain and the American Drama Group Europe (ADG) in an open-air performance at the fairytale-like location of Beaufort Castle! If there is one event worth extending your weekend by one day for, it surely is this one.
