Their new record firmly establishes the band, based out of Amsterdam, as masterful interpreters of the Anatolian rock and folk legacy, and as a leading voice in the emergent global psych scene. It was even nominated for the Grammy of “Best World Music Album”.

Photographer Véronique Kolber has been drawn to the strange, obscure and exciting works of H.P. Lovecraft, Edgar Allan Poe and Stephen King from a young age. Attracted by their stories and characters, as well as by America, its mysteries, its ordinary stories and strangeness, she made several trips to the United States over a period of eight years. She now presents a selection of personal images from her trips at Cercle Cité, accompanied by extracts from scripts by David Lynch, the Coen brothers, Christopher Nolan and other filmmakers, which she has reworked into a narrative to create new associations – between homage and re-creation.
