Hildegard Schmitt from the Association Luxembourg Alzheimer (ALA) joined the Sam Steen Show to discuss this year’s ‘Memory Walk’ event, taking place Saturday 23 September from 11am to 5pm in Luxembourg City.
Sam and Hildegard talk over the 22nd edition of the walk, which will be a 40-minute guided tour of the capital - beginning at Place Clairefontaine and ending at Place de la Constitution. The event is meant to inform and raise awareness of Alzheimer’s and dementia, which affected more than 7,500 people in Luxembourg in 2022.
This year’s theme is ‘The World Upside Down’ and walks will be accessible to people with reduced mobility, departing at 1pm, 2.30pm, and 3.30pm. Participants are asked to register online beforehand.
