For those attending Luxembourg Open Air in Kirchberg over the coming days, the Héienhaff Park and Ride could offer a convenient alternative. Located directly beside the A1, the car park has 481 spaces and is just one tram stop from Luxexpo.
However, drivers must follow several steps to qualify for free parking.
First, drivers need to download the CFL P+R app and allow location access in their phone settings, as the system will not function properly without it. Users must register in the app and enter their vehicle registration number.
Users should then be able to drive into the car park without difficulty. If the barrier does not open automatically, the app can generate a QR code that provides access.
Entering the car park alone does not make the stay free. After parking, users must leave the site within 30 minutes and travel at least 1.5 kilometres away from it.
Only then will the "Free parking" option become available in the app, and it must be activated. This step is essential, as anyone who fails to do so will be charged the standard rate of €12 per hour, up to a maximum of €80 per day.
