Singer-songwriter and producer Sri Nassu Bowe joined Ethan Carey live in studio for a soulful and engaging final half hour of Drive Time with Ethan Carey, performing two songs and reflecting on the next stage of his musical journey.
Now back in Luxembourg after several years in Berlin, Sri told Ethan he's diving into projects with fresh energy: “I finished everything I had to do, so now I'm back with a lot of work in the music field again.” Recent gigs at festivals like Fabrica del Ritmo and Fête de la Musique have helped relaunch his band Supremacía Terrenal, a family-driven project blending Latin fusion, pop and rock. “It’s modern but it has Latin roots,” he explained. “I think it’s a cool project.”
Sri also opened up about his time studying sound engineering and music production in Berlin, a decision that marked a major turning point. “I wanted to go deeper into the technical side. Now if I compare how I was producing before and how I produce now, there's a big difference.”
That technical growth has already paid off. Sri shared stories from a recent networking trip to Los Angeles, where he attended a music licensing event and explored sync opportunities for film and TV. “What I saw there was very interesting, it’s not about the artist, it’s about the music. You don’t need a big background in social media to live off your music,” he said. “You just need good songs.”
Back on home turf, Sri will perform two acoustic shows later this month 25 July at Partigiano and 26 July in Schuman, alongside Berlin-based collaborator Vera. He also announced that he’s offering production, mixing and mastering services to fellow artists.
For fans of genre-blending live music and independent voices, Sri’s evolution is one to watch.
