After a standout showing at the 2024 Luxembourg Song Contest, local artist Krick is ready to step into the spotlight again, this time with her most personal release yet. The singer and songwriter has begun teasing her upcoming single My Way, due for official release on 9 May 2025.

Known offstage as Christine Heitz, Krick first caught attention during the 2017 season of The Voice of Germany. Since then, she has steadily carved out her own space, most recently becoming an audience favourite in the 2024 Luxembourg Song Contest with her song Drowning in the Rain, where she placed second.

My Way builds on that momentum and signals a turning point. "I spent so long trying to fit into spaces that were never meant for me", Krick explains. "My Way is me breaking out of that box and finally choosing myself."

In a recent Instagram post, Krick gave fans a glimpse into her mindset as she prepares to release new material:
"Writing music is part chaos, part patience and sometimes, a spark of pure gold that turns us into magicians. Lately, it's been about showing up, tuning in, and letting the music speak when I can't."

The track channels both strength and soul, drawing comparisons to artists like Raye, Adele, Amy Winehouse and Olivia Dean. With rich vocals and a message of self-liberation, it captures the emotional clarity and ambition that define Krick's sound.

2025 also marks a personal shift, Krick has left her previous work as a nurse to pursue music full-time, with a new international team and more releases planned throughout the year.

My Way is set to be the first glimpse of what's to come, and a clear statement of intent from an artist who knows exactly where she’s heading.
