While Ethan’s show regularly brings live performances into the studio, Today Radio Unplugged takes this energy into the wild, celebrating Luxembourg’s finest musicians in a cozy, up-close setting.
Following four successful editions, the fifth installment is just around the corner! Join us on Monday, March 31st, at Rocas Bar from 9:00 PM to 11:30 PM for a special evening featuring Authentica and Hembadoon, two artists who embody musical diversity and passion.
Authentica’s energetic folk-fusion sound bridges Luxembourg’s folk traditions with international flavors. Led by Italian-Luxembourgish musician Martina Menichetti, Authentica reimagines ancient melodies and legends, blending them with Celtic, Latin, and Mediterranean influences.
Expect powerful vocals, flutes, keyboards, guitars, and vibrant percussion that will transport you through centuries of cultural storytelling. Hembadoon Morenike Peter-Thomas launched her music career in Jos, Nigeria, with the Cyrus gospel group before fronting the all-girl Sunrise Band, which earned third place in the Benson & Hedges Road Show competition. Her breakout single “Odo Aye” topped radio charts in Northern Nigeria and was featured in the BBC series Wetin Dey.
After a successful career as a publicist and copywriter for artists like Burna Boy and Simi, Hembadoon returned to performing in 2021 and has since taken to international stages. She is currently working on her upcoming album.
