On Monday afternoon, RTL Today Radio‘s Melissa Dalton welcomed the self-proclaimed “eldest producer in Luxembourg” Paul Thiltges to The Home Stretch to talk about the new film A Greyhound of a Girl.
The animated film, which will make its world debut on 18 February at the Berlinale Generation Kplus, brings to life the children’s story written by Roddy Doyle. The story follows four generations of women dealing with various changes through humour and witty dialogue.

A Greyhound of a Girl was produced in cooperation with a variety of countries including Ireland, Italy and of course, The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. Thiltges highlights that, in addition to being a cross-cultural effort, the production received the largest amount ever bestowed by the Luxembourg film fund.
Characters in the animated film are voiced by Irish greats including Rosaleen Linehan, Brendan Gleeson and Sharon Horgan. While the film will debut in English, it is currently being translated into Luxembourgish, with Paul hoping for a Luxembourg-based release before the end of the year.
